A process wastewater treatment plant based on the physico – chemical process of DAF flotation described in point 1.1.1 has been designed.

Difference in the device in relation to that described in item 1.1.1. is in the capacity of the device and pre-treatment. Fine mechanical pretreatment performed using an automatic rotary sieve housed in a standard steel container along with basic process wastewater treatment equipment. Solid particles larger than 1 mm are separated on the sieve.

After mechanical pre-treatment, the water goes to the equalization tank and to the DAF flotation device. The resulting sludge in the flotation device is discharged through an opening into an underground concrete sludge tank. Gravitational thickening of the sludge occurs in the sludge tank, and the separated water is returned to the beginning of the purification process in the equalization pool. Collected thickened sludge in liquid form, with a dry matter content of 5 – 8%, should be regularly emptied and disposed of in the prescribed and appropriate manner.

After the treatment of technological wastewater using a flotation device, the treated wastewater meets the criteria prescribed by the Regulation on emission limit values ​​for pollutants in water and deadlines for their achievement, and can be discharged into the city sewer.
